Ordinal Arcade

Back in early 2023, when Ordinals were just a whisper in the wind (or more accurately, a bunch of nerds yelling on Twitter), I decided to dive in headfirst. I spun up a Bitcoin node, sat back, and waited for the blockchain to sync. And waited. And waited. A full WEEK later, my computer had finally digested the entire history of Bitcoin, and I was ready to start inscribing.

I didn’t want to just slap some JPEGs on-chain and call it a day. I wanted to push the limits—so I wrote actual, playable games in HTML and inscribed them as Bitcoin NFTs. Tiny, retro-inspired, self-contained arcade games that will live on the blockchain forever. No servers, no hosting fees, no rug pulls—just raw, immutable code baked into Bitcoin itself.

There are nine games in total, each with its own little quirks and challenges. They’re simple, because they have to be—block space is precious—but that’s part of the charm. Think old-school flash games, but etched into digital stone.

Ordinal Arcade is a testament to a wild time in crypto, when everything felt experimental and nobody really knew what the hell was going on (myself included). Whether you’re here to play, collect, or just see what’s possible, you’re welcome to poke around.
